Xi'an Sailong successfully launched the first domestic commercial system of microwave plasma powder machine

On February 28, 2025, the company held a new product conference and officially released the first commercially developed microwave plasma powder machine in China, registered product trademark: SMLP™. The pulverizing machine is equipped with two functional modules of spheroidization and nano, which can realize the research and development and production of micron metal and non-metal powder spheroidization and nano powder.

Microwave plasma powder technology is a kind of technology that uses microwave energy to stimulate gas to form plasma, and promotes the reaction or decomposition of raw materials through the high temperature and high activity environment of plasma, and finally synthesizes micro-nano powder technology. The technology has the advantages of high purity, controllable particle size, energy saving, environmental protection and wide adaptability in powder preparation. The company deeply integrates the core concepts of flexible manufacturing, low carbon emission reduction and recycling, and independently develops two high-power microwave plasma generators of 15kW and 25kW, equipped with efficient powder collection and classification system, cooling system, feeding system, high-precision temperature control system and gas control system. Through the breakthrough of high power microwave heating technology and a variety of air pressure accurate control technology, the preparation of different grades of metal and non-metal spherical powder has been realized. The pulverizing machine can choose to carry the nodular pulverizing and nano pulverizing process modules, supporting users to formulate production plans according to needs, and can control the particle size distribution, sphericity and chemical composition of powder materials, to meet the differentiated demand for high-quality powders in additive manufacturing, energy storage, semiconductor, biomedical, aerospace and other fields. The spheroidization module unit of the complete set of equipment has achieved the preparation of spherical powders of 5~500μm titanium alloy, iron base alloy, refractory metal and alloy, superalloy, high-temperature ceramics and other materials, and the nano powder module unit has achieved the preparation of 10~500 nm Si, Cu, Ni, carbide, nitriding, oxide and other nano spherical powders.

As the first professional enterprise in China to develop commercial plasma rotating electrode process (PREP) powder technology and equipment research and development and industrial application, the company has successfully developed sailong microwave plasma powder technology and equipment with deep accumulation and breakthrough in the field of PREP powder technology. At present, cooperative research is being carried out with relevant institutions on the preparation process of metal, non-metal micron and nano spherical powders. In terms of microwave plasma technology and equipment, the company has applied for and obtained 4 authorized invention patents and 21 registered trademarks.
