PREP Working Principle
Plasma Rotating Electrode Process (PREP) is a technology that uses plasma to arc and melt the end of a high-speed rotating electrode rod. The centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotation of the electrode rod is used to eject the molten metal and atomize it into small droplets. The atomized metal droplets exchange heat with the atmosphere and then condense into spherical powders.
PREP Advantages
  • High speed and production efficiency, low cost and economic reliability
  • The powder has high sphericity, low porosity and high purity
  • Good consistency and stability of batch powder performance
  • Meeting the needs of small batch research and mass production of various metal powders
